American Legion Riders

The Legion Riders are a group of veterans and others that are part of the American Legion that enjoy the fruits of riding and the camaraderie that comes with it. We spend time together planning rides, sharing meals, and supporting the Grove Veterans Ritual Team with final services for veterans that have passed. We escort the veteran from the funeral home to the graveside service with honor. The display of flags on our motorcycles includes the American Flag, the branch of service the member participated in, the POW_MIA flags, the Oklahoma State Flag, and others when needed. We also hold the flags at the graveside service in a show of respect for the veterans service to our country.

As stated we share meals and every Saturday morning we meet to eat, enjoy each other’s company. We take this time to discuss upcoming events and plan new rides for that week and the future. In time we will be doing legacy rides that raise funds for the scholarships of fallen veterans. Other rides that the legion riders are involved in are Medal of Honor rides, poker runs, Sturgis, and even rides on Washington DC.

We are a fun group. We encourage anyone to join our riders to be a part of some of the most rewarding experiences and reap rewards of wind therapy with others riding enthusiasts.

The Legion Riders are a part of the parent organization which here in Grove is the American Legion Post 178. We would love to grow and become a mainstay in the community and show our support for the American Legion, veterans, and the youth of our great community.
